Alma Lashuay Meyers, daughter of Henry and Thursa Beeman, was born May 10, 1875, in Wood county, and spent most of her life in this vicinity.
She was joined in matrimony with her life’s companion, David L. Lashuay, Aug. 18, 1882, and was blessed with a fine family of four girls and two boys. This family circle was broken March 29, 1942, when Dave was laid to rest.
She was saved in the Pilgrim Holiness church under the ministry of Rev. B. A. Awe in 1931 and had been a faithful member since that time.
In July 1947 she chose a companion of old age, Charles Meyers of Toledo, who has outrun her in the race of life.
We believe she got her life’s lessons well, the last chapter of her life’s record has been written, and we are satisfied the boatman met her at the river to carry into Abraham’s bosom the soul of a conqueror through the blood of Jesus Christ.
She went to sleep Wednesday morning, Nov. 15, 1950, with her hand raised shortly before her passing, saying ‘Blessed Jesus.’
She leaves to mourn, daughters, Hazel Jordon, Weston, O.; Lucille Rauch, Phoenix, Arizona; Letha Sharpe, Eloy, Arizona; Frances McCurdy, Liberty Center, O.; sons, Menven, Napoleon, O.; Chlorral, Bowling Green, O.; fourteen grandchildren, and a few old warriors of the cross, and a host of friends.
