Shawn Christopher McIntosh, 32, of Liberty Center died Monday, Dec. 1, 2008 at Henry County Hospital, Napoleon.
Born June 20, 1976 in Olean, N.Y., Shawn was a graduate of the Association of Free Lutheran Bible School, Plymouth, Minn. He was employed as a truck driver for Hoovestol, Inc. and attended Liberty Chapel United Methodist Church, Liberty Center.
An avid fan of Ohio State football, Shawn enjoyed hosting Buckeye gatherings on game days. He had a tremendous love and knowledge of cars and will be remembered for his green Mustang. Shawn also had great compassion for the poor and was a consistent donor to the Salvation Army. His faith and ability to be content were an inspiration to his family and he will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Kelly and Patty (Clapp) McIntosh, Liberty Center; grandmothers, Ila Clapp, Liberty Center, and Hella McIntosh, Swanton; close friends who were like brothers, David Tekle, John Davis and Larry Myhrer; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A brother, Sheldon Paul; a sister, Sharon Faith; and grandfathers, Paul Clapp and Robert McIntosh, also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2008 at Liberty Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Condrey presiding. Burial will follow at Youngs Cemetery, Liberty Center. Visitation is Thursday from 2-9 p.m. in the Wright-Hobbs Funeral Home, Liberty Center.
