Obituary:
Frances O. Lashuay, daughter of David L. and Alma E. Lashuay, was born in Weston, O. on Sept. 28, 1912, and departed this life to inherit a greater life on July 11, 1956 at her home near Liberty Center at the age of 43 years, 9 months, and 18 days, following a long illness.
On Dec. 12, 1928, she was united in marriage to Victor McCurdy and to this union were born three children: Alma Lavon, who died in infancy; Mrs. Mary Ann Goldsmith, Liberty Center; Mrs. Ardith Myers, who at the present time is with her husband in Garmisch, Germany.
Mrs. McCurdy held membership in good standing in the local Pilgrim Holiness Church for 25 years. During this time she proved herself to be a very good and regular attendant and member.
She was a very kind and loving mother and wife, always more concerned for her husband, children and grandchildren than she was for herself. Her passing will not only leave an emptiness in our hearts, but also will leave many a one to seek a good and honest friend.
She leaves to mourn her passing, besides a devout husband, two daughters and sons-in-law, two grandchildern, brothers and sisters, namely: Menven Lashuay, known to many as 'Buck,' of Napoleon, O.; Choral Lashuay, known to many as 'Bus,' of Bowling Green, O.; Mrs. Hazel Jordon, of Lorain, O.; Mrs. Lucille Rauch of Phoenix, Arizona; Mrs. Letha Sharpe, of Ashland, Oregon, and a host of friends and neighbors.
