Rosie May Mccorkle, 69, of Defiance died Saturday morning at Laurels of Defiance.
Born Dec. 14, 1933, in Napoleon, she was the daughter of Harmon and Betsy (Reel) Damon. On Feb. 18, 1951, she married William McCorkle, who survives.
A homemaker, she was a member of the Defiance Eagles, V.F.W. Auxiliary #3360, Defiance Moose and Ladies of the AMVETS #1991.
She is also survived by a daughter, Beverly Thraster of Defiance; two sons, Danny of Fort Wayne, Ind., and James of Paulding; a sister, Mary Mohler of Napoleon; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Albert; a brother, Charles Damon; a sister, Nellie File; and step father, Enno Knipp.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home, Defiance, Rev. Lawrence Grow officiating. Interment will follow at Young Cemetery, Henry County.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
