Mrs. Doris L. McClure, 50, 793 Cherry Street, Liberty Center, died at 11:45 a.m. Friday at Heller Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
A native of Green City, Missouri, she was born December 20, 1920, the daughter of Raymon Bankus and Edith Ammerman. She married Walter McClure February 21, 1941, and they lived in Detroit, Michigan, for nine years. In 1950 they moved to Liberty Center where they owned and operated McClure Food Market until January of this year, when the operation was turned over to a son.
Mrs. McClure was a member of the Soroptimist Club of Napoleon and the Auxiliary of Gilbert Baughman Post No. 492 of the American Legion, Liberty Center.
Surviving, besides her husband, are two sons, James and John both of Liberty Center; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ramon Bankus, Green City, Missouri; and two sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Holt, Liberty Center, and Mrs. Ivadean Marsh, Sacramento, California.
Funeral services, conducted by the Reverend Ted W. Schroeder, were held at 2:30 p.m. today (Monday) at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Liberty Center. Interment was made in Young Cemetery. The Wesche Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
