Clark McCabe, 83, retired railroad employee, died Monday in his home.
Born in Henry County, he spent most of his life in Toledo where he was employed by the Toledo Terminal Co. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
Mr. McCabe was a former village marshal and was an honorary life member of the volunteer fire department.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; a son, Irving, Toledo; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in Walter’s Mortuary, with the Rev. David Eichar officiating. Burial will be in Young’s Cemetery.

Clark McCabe was born Feb. 4, 1874, near Liberty Center, and departed this life at his home Monday, Aug. 13. He had been in failing health for some time but for the most part was able to look after himself.
On June 7, 1898 he was united in marriage with Mary (Molly) Emahiser, and to this union were born three children. One son died in infancy and Harold died in 1943. Irving is the only surviving child, and lives in Toledo. Mr. and Mrs. McCabe recently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.
Mr. McCabe was a retired employee of the Toledo Terminal and had worked on other railroads, including railroad work in Arizona. He retired in 1942 and came to Liberty Center to live.
He was a member of the Knights of Pythias, the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, was an honorary member of the volunteer firemen of Liberty Center and had served as marshal in Liberty Center for two years.
Funeral services will be Thursday (today) at 2:30 p.m. from Walter’s Funeral Home with the Rev. David L. Eichar officiating. Burial will be in Young’s Cemetery.
