Alice Claudon Masters was born in Meadows, Ill., on March 20, 1896. In 1913 she moved with her parents to Pioneer, where she graduated from high school. On May 16, 1917, she was united in marriage with Marion L. Masters, her high school sweetheart, with whom she lived a devoted life. She departed this life Dec. 13, 1940, at the age of 41 years, 8 months and 28 days.
They made different moves in Michigan and Ohio, but no complaint was made as long as Alice had her family together. Three children were born to bless this union, Wendell, of North Adams, Mich., and Margaret Louise and Robert, at home.
She chose to follow God in the Mennonite church at the age of 12. Her faith in Christ remained steadfast until her Redeemer suddenly called her home. She was a devoted mother, a wonderful wife, and a good Christian character.
She leaves to mourn her loss a sorrowing husband, three children, her mother, and father, one sister, and a host of friends.

McCandlish for his comforting words, and to all friends and neighbors who aided in any way, during our saddest hour, the departure of our dearest Alice.
