Kaye Eileen Lingruen, 64, of Liberty Center, OH, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013,at The Toledo Hospital, after a year long courageous battle with cancer. Kaye was born in Lima, OH to Doris and the late Ben Palte. Besides her father, Kaye is also preceded in death by her pet, Jake.
Surviving Kaye is her mother, Doris Palte; loving husband, of 39 years, Rex Lingruen; daughters, Brooke and Brandi Lingruen; son, Blake; son-in-law, Ethan Wade; granddaughter, Quinn Lingruen; brothers, Dennis, Jim, and Mark Palte; and pet, Kramer.
Kaye worked for the Liberty Press for the past 38 years as a journalist. She graduated from Ohio Northern University. Kaye was a member of council, active in the Liberty Center Community and the Liberty Center School District. Her hobbies include: outlet shopping, gardening, knitting, sewing, scrap booking, traveling, and baking. Kaye loved Christmas time and loved to participate with her children's activities.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 24, 2013, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. in the Wright-Habegger Funeral Home, 302 E. Maple St., Liberty Center, OH. An additional visitation will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 14010 S. River Rd, Grand Rapids, OH on Monday, March 25, 2013, from 10:00 until the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Father David Tscherne and Steve Clymer officiating. Burial will follow at Young Cemetery, Liberty Center, OH. Memorials are suggested to Liberty Center Youth Football in care of Kaye Lingruen Scholarship or the Liberty Center Public Library.
