Clarence 'Charlie' H. Lindhorst May 13, 1929-Dec. 21, 2010
Clarence “Charlie” H. Lindhorst, age 81, of Napoleon, Ohio, died Tuesday afternoon at the Henry County Hospital.
Born May 13, 1929, in Fulton County, Ohio, the son of the late Otto H. and Lucille (Henricks) Lindhorst. On Feb. 13, 1949, he married Golda Mae Coon and she preceded him in death on Feb. 8, 2008.
Clarence was a truck driver for the S.E. Johnson Co. in Maumee, retiring in 1985. He formerly worked for Hoffman Produce in McClure and the C.F. Gerken Co. in Napoleon. He was a loving grandfather who enjoyed playing cards, bingo and the lottery.
Surviving are two sons, Larry (Brenda) Lindhorst of Napoleon and Jerry (Connie) Lindhorst of Florida, Ohio; daughters, Peggy Sheely of Deshler, Penny (Dennis) Myers of Liberty Center; brother, Robert Lindhorst of Humble, Texas; half-sister, Sandra Elser of Greer, S.C.; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death also by a half-sister Janet Torkelson and son-in-law Bernard Sheely Jr.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio, Rev. James Erven, officiating. Interment will be private.
