Obituary:
Elizabeth Henricks Liddle, daughter of Jonas and Elizabeth Henricks, was born in Sandusky county, O., Oct. 10, 1858. She was of a family of eight children, four boys and four girls. The parents and all but one brother have preceded her in death.
When a very small girl her parents moved to Henry county, near Liberty Center, where she spent the remainder of her life.
She was united in marriage to John Liddle Nov. 25, 1875, whose home was within one-half mile of the home of her parents.
To this union were born thirteen children: seven sons and six daughters, all of whom remain to comfort the husband and father in his reclining years.
With the exception of her recent illness she enjoyed fair health the most of her life, and is the first one to be taken from this family.
She was a very active member of the order of Pythian Sisters at Liberty Center.
Mrs. Liddle departed this life on Jan. 17, 1939, having attained the age of 80 years, 3 months and 7 days. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, John Liddle, her thirteen children, George, Arthur, Ross, Ray, Wayne, Johnnie and Walter, Mrs. Emma Wulff, Myrtle Heller, Vallie Wittes, Florence Wulff, Mary Wittes and Agnes Dietrich; one brother, William Henricks; thirty-two grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, also a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral service was held at St. John’s Reformed church at Liberty Center on Thursday, Jan, 19, at 2 p. m., the Rev. O. Stockmeier of Holgate, O., officiating. Interment was made in the mausoleum in Young’s cemetery.
