Mildred "Tootie" Levien, 91, of Liberty Center died Wednesday at Country View Haven, Napoleon.
Born Sept. 3, 1914, in Grand Rapids, she was the daughter of Henry and Jennie (Benskin) Chrobarger. On May 14, 1944, she married John Fredrick Levien, who preceded her in death April 17, 1977.
A cosmetologist, she owned Levien's Beauty Shop, Liberty Center, for 30 years, retiring in 1975. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Liberty Center, St. Paul Women of the Church and the Elijah Gunn Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by a son, John Fredrick II (Mary Ann) of Gulliver, Mich.; two daughters, Pamela Myles of Liberty Center and Carolyn Walters of Bryan; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters; and a brother.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Liberty Center, Pastor Jeffrey Stone officiating. Interment will be at Youngs Cemetery, Liberty Center.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, and 11 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the church.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church Handicapped Access Fund, Country View Haven or a charity of the donor's choice.
