John H. Leonard, 82, Wauseon, died Thursday evening in the Northcrest Nursing Home at Napoleon, following an extended illness.
Born in Fulton County on July 24, 1906, he was the son of Thomas and Addie (Liedorf) Leonard.
A retired foreman with the former Wauseon Manufacturing Co., he had more than 25 years of service there. He had also served as custodian for the Wauseon School System for several years. A World War II Army veteran, Leonard was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Wauseon, and the city’s Robinson-Gibbs American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Helen (Murray) Leonard.
Services were held this morning in the Edgar Funeral Home, Wauseon, Rev. Branson J. Hawks officiating. Interment was in the Young Cemetery, Liberty Center.
