Harold B. (Cap) Slee, 59, Liberty Center, died this morning at Flower Hospital, Sylvania.
He was born December 18, 1920, in Liberty Center, to Curtis and Blanche (Overmier) Slee. In 1946, he married Marian F. Mann, and she preceded him in death on April 19,1980.
Mr. Slee was an electrician for Toledo Edison Company at Wauseon. He was the exalted ruler of Elks Lodge #1734, Wauseon, past master of Liberty Center Lodge #518, F&AM, and a past commander of the Liberty Center Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member and trustee of Liberty Center United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Blanche Gruber, Liberty Center; two sons, Lee, Liberty Center, and Kurt, at home; two brothers, Eugene, Liberty Center, and Keith, Colton; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Wilda) Johns, Whitehouse, and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Allen.
Funeral services will be conducted at Liberty Center United Methodist Church, Wednesday 3 p.m., the Reverend Thomas Hanover officiating. Elks Lodge will hold a memorial service Tuesday, 7 p.m., at Croll-Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post will conduct a graveside military service at Young’s Cemetery, Liberty Center.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday, 6 to 9 p.m., or at the church on Wednesday from noon until 3 p.m. The family suggests any memorials be made to the church Bell Tower Fund
