Charles Slee, 59, Delta, died Monday evening at Fulton County Health Center.
He was born November 10, 1921, in Fulton County, the son of Charlie and Druscilla (Frankforther) Slee. He married Maxine Penland on January 26, 1973, and she survives.
Also surviving are two stepsons, David Nolan, Orlando, Florida, and Jay Beauprey, Delta; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Sheila Watson, Waterville; an adopted son, Scott Slee, Napoleon; two brothers, Lonnie, Delta, and Dale, Wauseon; and four grandchildren.
Mr. Slee was a machinist with Teledyne Corporation, Sylvania, and previous to that was employed at Machine Builders of Toledo. He was a member of Alva N. Sidle American Legion Post #232, Grand Rapids, and the Grand Rapids Sportsmen's Club.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, 1 p.m., at Croll-Wright Funeral Home. Liberty Center. The Reverend Gary Patton will officiate, and burial will be in Youngs Cemetery, where the American Legion will hold graveside services.
Calling will begin Wednesday, 2 p.m.. at the mortuary. Preferred memorials are to the American Cancer Society.
