Services were held Saturday at 2. p.m. in the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, for Mrs. Edith M. Knapp, 84, who died in the Henry County Home Hospital. Burial was in Young Cemetery
Mrs. Knapp is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Irene Tanier, Deshler; stepson, Adam Knapp, Liberty Center; brother, Fred Henderson, Toledo; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Obituary
Edith Maud, daughter of Hiram and Candis Henderson was born June 26, 1872 at Howard City, Mich., and departed this life May 15, 1957, at the Henry County Home at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 18 days.
On Sept. 19, 1891 she was united in marriage to John Knapp and to this union two children were born. One died in infancy. Her husband preceded her in death, May 21 1953, and a grandson, Donald London, died in the armed service. Two sisters preceded her in death.
The greater part of her life was spent near Liberty Center.
She leaves to mourn, one daughter, Mrs. Irene Tanier, one adopted son, Adam of Liberty Center, one brother, Fred Henderson of Toledo, 3 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, besides other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at Walker Funeral Home, Napoleon, 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, with Rev. A. G. Steinko officiating. Burial was in Young's Cemetery, Liberty Center.
