Obituary:
Adam A. Knapp, 75, of Defiance, died at 5:05 p.m., Sunday, at Defiance Hospital.
He was born December 2, 1908, in Cleveland, to John and Maud (Henderson) Knapp. On August 27, 1934, he married Martha Elizabeth Knapp, and she preceded him in death in 1959.
A World War II Army veteran of the Asiatic-Pacific theater, Mr. Knapp had lived most of his married life in Liberty Center. He had been employed at the Liberty Center Lumber Company. For the last 17 years he lived in Defiance with his daughter and did woodworking and furniture repair.
Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Otto (Fern) Beindorf, Defiance: a son, Eugene, of New Port Richey, Florida; a brother, Rudy Snyder, of New Port Richey, and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Tanier.
Services will be held Wednesday, 1 p.m., at Mast & Mock Funeral Home, Defiance. The Reverend Gordon D. Scullion will officiate, and burial will be in Youngs Cemetery, Liberty Center.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. or, Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
