Obituary:
Sadie M Kessler, 85, of Maple St.. Liberty Center, died Thursday evening in Henry County Hospital.
Born May 9, 1899, she is the daughter of Charles Whitmore and Jennie Schwarger.
She married James Kessler on Jan. 11, 1916, who preceeded her in death on April 24,1966
She was a member of Gilbert -Bauman American Legion Auxiliary, Gold Star Mothers, and Liberty Center United Methodist Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. George (Mildred) Amos, Toledo, Mrs. Glen (Bernice) Moore, of Colton, Mrs. Riffe (Grace) Seymour, of Milan, Ill., and Mrs. Raymond (Pauline) Lambert, of Delta: three sons, Lawrence and Harold, both of Liberty Center, and Melvin, of Colton; one brother, LeRoy Whitmire, of Liberty Center; three sisters. Omare (Gladis) Jacquot, of Swanton, Mrs. Randolph (Josephine) Carpenter and Mrs Cloyd (Irene) Baldwin, both of Liberty Center; 29 grandchildren; and 51 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
A son, Marion Wayne Kessler preceded her in death in World War II.
Visitation will be after 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday afternoon and evening at the Croll-Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center. Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev Rosaline Runnels of Liberty Center United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment will be at the Young Cemetery, Liberty Center Memorials should be made to the Henry County Home.
