Mrs. Maud Kessler, 82, Liberty Center, died Saturday morning in Heller Memorial Hospital, Napoleon, following a long illness.
She was born November 10, 1891 in Redfield, South Dakota, the daughter of Jacob and Mary (Foor) Rentz. She married Royal K. Kessler on November 28,1912 and he preceded her in death in 1970.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Norman (Fern) Maunz, Mrs. Dorothy Snyder and Mrs. Eldon (Jennie) Parsons, all of Liberty Center, and Mrs. Erma Pelton, Roscommons, Michigan; three sons, Howard, Orville, and George, all of Liberty Center; one sister, Mrs. Dollie Nohl, Toledo; one brother, Ray Rentz, Napoleon; 33 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Ray and Walter and one daughter, Lucille.
The deceased was a member of the Gold Star Mothers of World War II and the Gilbert-Baughman American Legion Auxiliary 492, Liberty Center.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Croll-Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, with Reverend Joseph Burnett, pastor of the Liberty Center United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Youngs Cemetery, Liberty Center.
