NAPOLEON - Mrs. Irene E. Kessler, 66, 403 W. Front St., died at 8:47 a.m. today in her home. She was the widow of the late Homer Kessler, a local police chief.
Born March 16, 1907 in Findlay, she was a daughter of Walter and Rose (Walters) Lunn, and was a member of the Women of the Moose.
Surviving are two sons, Floyd Altman and Charles Altman, Napoleon; a stepson, Benjamin Kessler, Wichita Falls, Tex.; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Donald (Irene) Bernicke, Napoleon; Mrs. Marie Shafer, Defiance, and Mrs. Leona Zimmerman, Wauseon; a brother, Lawrence Lunn, Erie, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Kimmel, Mrs. Annie Kirk and Mrs. Lester (Martha) Wilch, Findlay, and 29 grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Walker Mortuary, Rev. Charles Hedrick of the First Baptist Church officiating, and burial will be in Young Cemetery, Liberty Center. Friends may call in the mortuary 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.
