Cora Estella Laver, oldest daughter of George W. and Aurilla Laver, was born Feb. 7, 1876, in Liberty township, Henry county, O., and passed away at her home in Liberty township, Henry county, O., on Feb. 14, 1946, having attained the age of seventy years and seven days.
On Nov. 21, 1893, she was united in marriage to Charles Henry Kessler; to this union were born six children, three boys and three girls; three girls, one boy and the husband and father preceded her to their eternal rest.
With the exception of two years her entire life was spent in Henry county, O. She at one time was a member of the German Reformed church at Licerty Center, but due to the absence of a minister she affiliated herself with no particular church until about six years ago when she again renewed her faith.
She leaves to mourn her departure, two sons, Rollin L. Kessler, of Wauseon, O. and George Vernon Kessler at home, two sisters, Adah Russell, and Binnie Moore, both of Liberty Center, five grandchildren, one greatgrandchild, and many other relatives and friends.
She was a member of the Pythian Sisters and Rebekah lodges, and a member of the Victory Women’s Missionary Association.
Funeral services were held at the Reformed church, Liberty Center, O., Sunday, Feb, 17, 1946, Rev. D. E. Fredrick officiating. She was laid to rest beside her husband in Young’s cemetery, Liberty Center.
