Mrs. Barbara Lou Kessler, 71, of Liberty Center, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, in her home.
She was born Nov. 13, 1929, in Henry County to Albert and Eveland (Tanner) Linthicum, and her mother survives In Napoleon. She married Leslie F. Kessler on Aug. 15, 1947, and he survives in Liberty Center.
Mrs. Kessler candled eggs for the former McCulley Egg Company in Liberty Center. She also worked during the pack at Campbell Soup Company, in Napoleon, and for 20 years drove a school bus for the Liberty Center Schools, retiring in 1989. She was a member of Victory Chapel in Liberty Center and its Women's Society.
Also surviving are her daughters, Vickie (Dan) Mohr, of Delta; Patricia (John) Stock, of Liberty Center, and Cindy (Tom) Overmier, of Liberty Center; son, Rick (Stephanie) Kessler, of Liberty Center; brother, Neil (Kathleen) Veigel, of Liberty Center; 11 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Shippy, and brother, Marion Linthicum.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Liberty Chapel United Methodist Church, in Liberty Center, with Pastor Steve Clymer officiating. Burial will be in Youngs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p .m. to 9 p.m on Wednesday, Feb. 7, in the Wright Funeral Home, in Liberty Center.
The family requests that memorials be in the form of donations to Hospice of Henry County, Victory Chapel, or a charity of the donor's choice.
