Virginia M. Johnson, 78, of Liberty Center, died Sunday at Toledo Hospital.
Born in Liberty Center on Feb. 21, 1916, she was the daughter of Leonard and Floss (Bowers) Teeters. On Sept. 1, 1940, she married George J. Johnson, who survives.
She was a former editor of the Liberty Press in Liberty Center, a clerk for 20 years at the Liberty Center Post Office, a member of the Methodist Church Women's Society, Henry County A.A.R.P., Henry County Senior Center and the Liberty Center Fireman's Auxiliary. She was also a 50-year member of Eastern Stars in Wauseon.
She is also survived by a son, Doug of Bryan; two daughters, Diane Whitmire of Bowling Green and Deb Glanz of Liberty Center; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a grandchild.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Liberty Center United Methodist Church, Rev. Martin Denes officiating. Interment will be at Youngs Cemetery in Liberty Center.
Visitation is after 7 p.m. on Monday and after 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Wright Funeral Home in Liberty Center.
