Ralph Aubrey Jennings, 78, of Liberty Center, an employee of the former Liberty State Savings Bank for 37 years died Monday, June 29 In Henry County Hospital.
A cashier at the bank, Mr. Jennings retired in 1982. He was a member of the Liberty Center United Methodist Church, and charter member of the Liberty Center Post of the American Legion and the VFW. He was also a lifetime member of the Liberty Center Sportsman's Club.
Mr. Jennings served in the army in the fourth armored division under General Patton during World War II.
He was born Aug. 7, 1919 in Liberty Center, the son of Bert A. and Clara B. (Graner) Jennings. He married Kathryn Bureau on July 22, 1942 and she survives.
Also surviving are, a daughter Nancy Spahn, of Toledo; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Spahn, of Bowling Green.
He was preceded in death by daughters, Sharon Kay and Patricia Ann Jennings; sisters, Mildred, D. Parker, and Alice V. Keith; and brothers, W. Bryan Jennings, and Vernon A. Jennings.
Friends may call at the Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, after 2 p .m. on Wednesday.
Services will be held Thursday, July 2 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Martin Denes officiating. Interment will be in Youngs Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by the Liberty Center American Legion and VFW.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
