Though not shocked at the news of Bert Jennings’ death Tuesday morning at St. Vincent’s hospital in Toledo, he having been in ill health for a year or more, this community was greatly grieved to hear it.
Mr. Jennings would have been 69 years old in November of this year. He had been a Liberty Center business man for sixteen years, first in the meat market and for the past years in the grocery business under the trade name The North Side Market.
Bert Jennings was a man of high character and enjoyed the respect and confidence of a who knew him. His illness was of deep concern to his many friends and business associates and his death deeply and sincerely regretted.
Deceased leaves his wife and five children; Mrs. Alice Keith, Bryan, Aubrey, Vernon, and Mrs. Mildred Parker.
Mr. Jennings was born near McClure and had been engaged in farming previous to moving to Liberty Center about 16 years ago.
Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church in Liberty Center Friday afternoon at 2:00, Rev. Piper officiating.
