Local woman killed in car crash
LIBERTY CENTER - Henry County recorded its first traffic fatality of the new year yesterday.
Laura Hutson, 32, of Liberty Center was killed early Thursday afternoon when she went left of center while driving and hit a cement railroad viaduct, according to the Henry County Sheriff's Department.
Hutson was eastbound on State Route 110 near milepost 17 in Harrison Township at 12:49 p.m. when she went left of center, leaving the roadway on the north side of the road and hitting the pillar of a railroad overpass.
Hutson was taken to the Henry County Morgue by Liberty Rescue. She had been pronounced dead at the scene.
Damage was heavy to Hutson's car.
Services will be Monday morning at Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center. Visitation begins Sunday.
