Augusta May Hudson was born March 19, 1898, and died June 9, 1910, aged 12 years, 2 months and 17 days.
Gusta was the daughter of Harry and Emma Hudson. When but ten months old her father died, since which time she and her brother Charley have lived with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Murray. Gusta was a lovely child much loved and respected by all who knew her. One year ago she united with the the formed church and was a faithful member. In the home and in the church and Sunday school she will be greatly missed. She leaves a mother, brother, stepfather, two half-sisters, one half-brother, and a grandfather and grandmother to mourn her early departure.
A large congregation assembled at the Reformed church Sunday at 2 p.m., when her pastor spoke from the words: ‘Suffer little children to come unto me.’
The family wish to express gratitude to the friends for kindness shown in the hour of their bereavement.
’There is a reaper whose name is Death, And with his sickle keen, Ho reaps the bearded grain at a breath, And the flowers that grow between.’
