Raymond H. Huber, 68, Liberty Center, died Thursday afternoon in the Southeast Florida Regional Medical Center, Fort Myers, Fla.
Born in Wayne, Ohio, April 28, 1919, he was the son of Sam and Mary Ellen (Stover) Huber. On Sept. 29, 1940, he married Phyllis Hefflinger, and she survives.
A barber for over 50 years, Huber was a member of the Liberty Center United Methodist Church, Liberty Center Boosters, Liberty Center F & AM Lodge, the Valley of Toledo Scottish Rite, and the Liberty Center V.F.W. and Gilbcrt-Baughman American Legion posts. He was a World War II Air Corps veteran.
Also surviving are two daughters, Karen Davis of Liberty Center and Marsha Holman of Wauseon; a son, Hal of Bowling Green; four sisters, Gladys Kramer and Thelma Hale, both of Bowling Green, Nellie Garner of Wayne, Ohio, and Helen Wright of Cygnet; a brother, John of Wayne, Ohio; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Liberty Center United Methodist Church, Rev. Isaac Johnston officiating. Interment will be in Young’s Cemetery where military graveside rites will be accorded by the combined posts of the American Legion and V.F.W. Friends may call at the Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, after 7 p.m. Saturday and after 2 p.m. Sunday.
