Robert T. Hoover, 60, of rural Liberty Center died Monday evening at Medical College of Ohio, Toledo.
Born Jan. 20, 1929, in Napoleon, he was the son of Donald and Hilda (Wirth) Hoover.
On Sept. 5, 1948, he married Virginia Leonard, and she survives.
A member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Liberty Center, he was a member and past president of its men’s club. He was also an avid polka dancer.
Hoover was a machinist with Napoleon Products 18 years. Prior to that he was a body and fender man for several area auto body shops.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mary Creigger of Holgate; a son, Richard of Napoleon; two brothers, Donald of Sandusky and Lowell of Napoleon; and four granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas, and a sister, Claraella Bussing.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, Pastor William Thompson officiating. Interment will be in Youngs Cemetery, Liberty Center.
Friends may call at Wright Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
