Alta Marie Holland was born in Redondo Beach, Calif., on Feb. 19, 1971, to Sonny and Helen (Durham) Holland.

She was a junior at Liberty Center High School attending Four County Vocational School majoring in cosmetology. Alta was a member and trustee of V.I.C.A. and a member of the Delta Church of Christ.

Surviving are her mother, Helen of Liberty Center; her father and step-mother, Sonny and Julia Holland of the state of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Buddy Yates of Houston and Glenn Yates of Spring, Texas; two sisters, Jannelle Watson of Spring, Texas, and Beverly Holland of Liberty Center; and paternal grandparents, Glenn and Bertha Holland of Weston.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday in the Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, Rev. Dick Calcs officiating. Interment will be in Youngs Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today.
