llva M. (Ebersole) Hoffer, 86, of Toledo, OH, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2000, in the Genoa Care Center. She was born on November 19, 1913, in Medina Township, Lenawee County, Ml, to Emery and Elsie (Kuney) Ebersole. She attended Morenci High School and graduated from Huntington Indiana High School in 1931. On November 19, 1932, she married Earnest James Hoffer in Angola, IN.
llva was a charter member and long time secretary for The National Threshers Association. She attended Calvary Assembly of God Church and was a member of their quilting group. She enjoyed photography, camping and traveling, having visited all the states of the union with the exception of Alaska and Hawaii. She was very skilled with the crochet needle, and presented all the members of her family with afghans and numerous other craft items over the years.
llva and Earnest were the parents of six children: Joann (Eugene) Dannibale, Arlene (deceased), Calvin (Karen), Philip and Dennis Hoffer, and Marjorie (Martin) Piwowar. She was grandmother to Janet (Jamie) Heilman, George (Janet) Dannibale, Gretchen (Mike) Densic, Matthew (Beth) Hoffer, Jennifer (Duane) Heinze, Christine (Lee) Holmes, and Emily, Hallie and Alexander Piwowar. Great-grandchildren are, Julie and Jennifer Fuzessy, Anna and Gina Dannibale, Lauren, Joel and Jessica Densic and Nicholas Holmes, and great-great grandchildren are, Randy Fuzessy and James Custar. Also surviving are her sister, Hester McKowen of Scottsdale, AZ; her sisters-in-law, Josephine Stevenson, Delta, OH, Mabel Hoffer and Madeline Hoffer, Napoleon, OH; brother-in-law, Mac Eddy, Phoenix, AZ, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earnest; daughter, Arlene; brothers Earl and Emory Ebersole; sisters, Izola Decant, Iva Frank, llah Everingham and Irma Ebersole.
The family will receive friends in the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home, Woodville Road Chapel, 1111 Woodville Rd., Millbury, OH, on Friday from 2-9 p.m. with funeral services being conducted on Saturday at 1 :30 p.m. Interment will be in Young Cemetery, Liberty Center, OH.
