Grover A. (Dick) Hill, 82, of 3940 Canada Southern Ave. and formerly of 545 Lodge Ave., died Sunday in St. Luke’s Hospital.
Born in Tiffin, O., Mr. Hill lived in Raceland, La., 18 years, and then in North Baltimore, O., moving to Toledo 46 years ago. He was an inspector of motor vehicles 25 years for the Ohio Bell Telephone Co., retiring in 1953. He then worked six years in the electrical maintenance department of the Toledo State Hospital, retiring in 1960. He was a member of the Broadway United Methodist Church, Telephone Pioneers, Highland Park and St. Charles Church Senior Citizens clubs, and the Knights of Pythias.
Surviving are his daughters; Helene R. Hill, of Grand Rapids, Mich.; Sister Jeanne Marie, of Springfield, Mo.; sons, James Elmer, of Long Island City, N. Y.; George Marion, of New Orleans; Richard C., of Toledo, and Robert L.; sisters, Mrs. Zona Thompson, of Kenner, La.; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
The body will be in the Walter Mortuary tonight after 7. Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m., with burial in North Baltimore Cemetery. Knights of Pythias services will be Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
