William Franklin Heilman March 21, 1929 - Feb. 7, 2000
William Heilman, 70, of Liberty Center died Monday morning at the Medical College of Ohio Hospital of Toledo.
Born March 21, 1929, in Liberty Center, he was the son of Harve and Naoma (Lovejoy) Heilman. On Oct. 4, 1953, he married Patricia Sharpe, who survives.
He was a farmer and also drove school bus for Liberty Center Schools for 11 years. He worked for Myers Crop Center for three years, drove truck for B.A. Miller Trucking for 12 years and, along with his wife, owned Bill's Cafe in Liberty Center from 1985 to 1992. He retired in 1992. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Liberty Center United Methodist Church, Liberty Center Lodge #518 F&AM and the Liberty Center Boosters Club.
He is also survived by two daughters, Katie Meyers of Napoleon and Betsy Miller of Malinta; a son, Dan of Napoleon; a sister, Beverly Schlatter of Wapakoneta; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, William.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Wright Funeral Home of Liberty Center, Rev. Martin Denes officiating. Interment will be at Youngs Cemetery of Liberty Center.
Visitation will be at the funeral home after 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
