With good thoughts and happy memories we begin this memorable event. I say good thoughts because death to a suffering friend is good, and often desired by the one who suffers. I mention happy memories in order to remind us there is more to a rose bush than thorns, such as our heart feels today.
So, may we remember that each precious memory is likened to a beautiful rose on the bush of life. We thank God for every memory.
Frank J. Heilman was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Heilman. He was born Jan. 13, 1894 near Holgate in Henry County and lived in this area most of his life. Farming was his chief career. On March 25, 1947, he was married to Jessie Leonard and with her he lived happily until his death.
Frank was highly respected by his wife arid children and seemed like a Dad to many others who knew him well. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of American Legion Post 492 and also a member of the VFW. He was a real citizen and superior in his neighborliness.
Frank was ill for many days preceding his death. On March 24, 1964 he passed away in his home at the age of seventy years, two months and eleven days.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Jessie, and two children, Mrs. Helen Murdock of Liberty Center, and Mrs. Eileen Wilcox of Archbold, and six grandchildren.
