Obituary:
Erma Hatcher, 96, of Grand Rapids, died Saturday afternoon in Rapids Nursing Home.
Formerly a resident of Liberty Center, she was born on May 24, 1888, in Crawford County, Ohio, the daughter of Isaiah and Anna (Sawyer) Loudon. She was wed to Charles T. Hatcher (who died December 16, 1931) on October 31, 1907. An employee of the city of Detroit, Mrs. Hatcher had retired in 1957. She was also a member of the Grand Rapids Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Harry (Anna Phillips) Lewis; three sons, Waldo, of Fayette; Wynn, of Grand Rapids, and Charles Loudon, of Astatula. Florida: one sister, Mrs. Leila Heller, of Plymouth, Michigan; seven grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the Croll-Wright Funeral Home in Grand Rapids. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Grand Rapids Wesleyan Church with Reverend Gerald Davis Officiating Burial will be at Young's Cemetery in Liberty Center. The family prefers that any memorials be made to the church.
