Russell G. Hardy, 84, Toledo, a retired Henry County treasurer, died Tuesday evening at the East Wood Nursing Home, Toledo.
He was born September 29, 1891, in Texas, Ohio, the son of David and Lydia Hardy. His wife Mabel preceded him in death in 1969.
The deceased served as Henry County treasurer from 1944 to 1961. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Liberty Center, the Liberty Center Masonic Lodge #518, and the Scottish Rite 32 Degree Valley of Toledo.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Garrett; South Milwaukee, Wisconsin; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, with Reverend Norman Newman officiating. Masonic memorial services conducted by the Liberty Center Masonic Lodge, will be held at the mortuary, Thursday at 8 p.m.
Interment will be in the Young Cemetery, Liberty Center.
Friends may call at the mortuary from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday.
The family suggest that memorials may be made to the Cancer Society or the United Methodist Church, Liberty Center.
