Obituary: Robert G. Guyer July 20, 1919 - Feb. 3, 1996 Robert Guyer, 76, of Liberty Center died Saturday morning at the Henry County Hospital. Born July 20, 1919, in Colton, he was the son of Howard and Ethel (Gramling) Guyer. On Nov. 23, 1940, he married Thelma Yarnell, who survives. He was a retired farmer and antique dealer. He was a member of the Liberty Center United Methodist Church, where he served on its nominating committee, pastor parish relations committee and served as trustee. He was a 50-year member of the Liberty Center Masonic Lodge #518 F & AM. He was also a member of the Eastern Star Chapter #68 of Deshler. He is also survived by two sons, Robert of Colton and Steven of Liberty Center; four daughters, Betty Rising, Barbara Shambarger, both of Liberty Center, Carol Asher of Sherman Oaks, Calif., and Rebecca Cleneay of Houston, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Liberty Center United Methodist Church, Rev. Martin Denes officiating. Interment will be at the Young Cemetery of Liberty Center. Visitation will be at the Walker Mortuary of Napoleon today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Masonic services will be held at the mortuary at 8:30 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, the church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
