Fredrich Henry Fuhrhop, son of Fredrich Fuhrhop and Katherine nee Fitzenreiter was born in Germany March 14, 1877. A year later his parents immigrated to America, settling in Freedom Twp., Henry County. Ohio. From there they moved to Napoleon Twp., and then returned again to Freedom Twp., Henry County. Thereupon the family moved to Liberty Twp. After the death of the father the deceased and his brother lived for a while at Elery, and then in 1929 purchased a farm northeast of Liberty Center where they have been residing since. The deceased was baptized in Germany in early infanvy and confirmed in St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Napoleon in 1892 bv the Rev. W. L. Fischer. He has been a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Liberty Center since 1931. Monday morning, May 17, he took seriously ill. His condition rapidly grew worse so that by Saturday noon he was rushed to the Wauseon hospital where he died about one hour after his arrival. Death was caused by hardening of the coronary artery.
The survivors are a sister, Mrs. Wm. Garbers of Napoleon; a brother Herbert with whom the deceased made his home; a nephew, Julius Garbers; an uncle, Henry Fuhrhop and four cousins, Henry, Fred, Otto and Luella, all of Elery.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon, May 26,. at 2 in the Boyers Funeral Home and at 2:30 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Liberty Center, Ohio, with the Rev. H. L. Kruekeberg officiating. Interment was made in Young's cemetery in Liberty Center.
