Bernadine Fry, 76, of Wauseon died Thursday at Clearwater, Fla.
Born July 31, 1924, in Holgate, she was the daughter of Frederick and Emma (Bessling) Wegener. On Oct. 1, 1949, she married Burdett Fry, who survives.
She worked at the former Essex Wire Co. of Wauseon for more than 25 years. She was a past president of the IBEW, a past board member for the Society for the Handicapped in Napoleon and was also a past member of the former Wauseon Theater Group.
She is also survived by three daughters, Debbie Fry of Dunedin, Fla., Cheryl Gomez of Wauseon and Lori Lloyd of Kendalville, Ind.; a son, Rod of Henderson, Nev.; three sisters, Margaret Orban of Toledo, Margie Lange of Sylvania and Carol Ballard of Toledo; two brothers, Harry Wegener of Florida and Paul Wegener of Colorado; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Gerri and Lucille; and three brothers, Nelson, La Von and Wilbur.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home of Wauseon. Interment will follow at the Youngs Cemetery of Liberty Center.
Visitation will be at the funeral home today from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Society for the Handicapped in Napoleon.
