Bernadine E. Fry, 76, of Wauseon, died unexpectedly Thursday, March 15, 2001, in Clearwater, FL. She had worked at the former Essex Wire Company in Wauseon for over 25 years.
Mrs. Fry was born in Holgate, OH on July 31, 1924, to Frederick and Emma (Bessling) Wegener. On October 1, 1949, she married Burdett Fry and he survives. She was a past president of the I.B.E.W., past board member for the Society for the Handicapped in Napoleon and was also a past member of the former Wauseon Theater Group.
Surviving besides her husband, Burdett; are 3 daughters, Debbie (Loyd) Fry of Dunedin, FL, Cheryl (Jim) Gomez of Wauseon, Lori (Earl) Lloyd of Kendalville, IN; 1 son, Rod (Kim) Fry of Henderson, NV; 7 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Margaret (Ronald) Orban of Toledo, Margie (Bill) Lange of Sylvania, Carol (Bill) Ballard of Toledo; 2 brothers, Harry Wegener of Florida, Paul Wegener of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters; Gerri and Lucille; 3 brothers, Nelson, LaVon, and Wilbur.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon. Interment will follow in the Young Cemetery near Liberty Center. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions may be given to the Society for the Handicapped in Napoleon.
