Obituary: Helen Irene Fredrick June 15, 1911 - March 25, 1998 Helen Fredrick, 86, of Liberty Center died Wednesday at Northcrest Nursing Home of Napoleon. Born June 15, 1911, in Liberty Center, she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Babcock) Hoover. She married George Bowers, who preceded her in death. She then married Howard Fredrick, who preceded her in death on Aug. 6, 1968. She and her husband owned Howard Fredrick Hauling of Liberty Center. In 1970, the company was incorporated and became Benecke Trucking Inc. of Ridgeville Comers, where she was the secretary of the corporation. She retired in 1986. She is survived by a daughter, Janis Benecke of Ridgeville Corners; a brother, Donald Hoover of Napoleon; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, George Bowers Jr.; two sisters, Edith Cunningham and Bessie Hoover; two brothers, Hubert and Lawrence Hoover; and a grandchild. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Wright Funeral Home of Liberty Center, pastors Michael Bowers and Charles Herschy officiating. Interment will be at Youngs Cemetery of Liberty Center. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
