Arthur George Follett Oct. 4, 1904 - April 18, 1992
Arthur George Follett, 87, of Liberty Center died Saturday at the Defiance Hospital.
Born in Delta on Oct. 4, 1904, he was the son of Russell and Anna (Samlow) Follett. On June 10, 1929, he married Mary F. Parrit, who preceded him in death.
He was a farmer and served as a substitute rural mail carrier at the Napoleon Post Office. He also worked as a custodian at Bowling Green State University and worked in the university post office. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Liberty Center and the church's men's club.
Surviving are a daughter, Merna Homier of New Bavaria; two sons, Robert of Ft. Wayne and Arthur (Bud) Follett Jr. of Montpelier; a brother, Ervin of McClure; a sister, Edna Mohler of Liberty Center; 14 grandchildren, three step grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and six step- grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were a brother, Clyde; a grandson; and a great-grandson. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today at the Wright Funeral Home in Liberty Center.
Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Liberty Center, Pastor William E. Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Youngs Cemetery in Liberty Center. Memorials may be made to the church or the Filling Memorial Home of Mercy, Napoleon.
