Lillian Lucinda, daughter of Russell and Lucy Herkimer, was born in Liberty township on Sept. 23, 1887, and departed this life at her home in Liberty Center on April 20, 1946, at the age of 58 years, 6 months, and 27 days.
On Jan. 30, 1911, she was united in marriage to Edward M. Fahringer of Liberty township. To this union were born four daughters and six sons.
Nearly all her life was spent in Liberty township. In young womanhood she was converted to the Christian faith at the Olive Chapel Christian Union church. She was a dutiful wife and mother and will be greatly missed by her family.
She leaves to mourn her passing: her husband, Edward; daughters, Mrs. Charles Green, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. William Gunn, Wauseon; Mrs. Richard Hockman, Napoleon; sons, Orville, at home; John, of Wayne, Mich.; Walter, of Liberty Center; Robert, of Napoleon; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Bollman, and Mrs. Charles May, both of Liberty township; and eleven grandchildren; besides a host of other relatives and friends. A daughter, Helen, and twin sons, Francis and Franklin, preceded their mother in death.
