Mary B. Ernsberger, 92, of Liberty Center died Thursday at the Lutheran Home at Napoleon.
Born March 5, 1914, in Defiance, she was the daughter of Lewis and Blanche (Miller) Spiess. On July 11, 1931, she married Homer G. Young, who preceded her in death May 17, 1938. On May 12, 1946, she married Earl L. Ernsberger, who preceded her in death Aug. 5, 1997.
A homemaker, she also worked in the shipping department of Unit Plastics, Liberty Center. She was a member of Colton United Methodist Church, St. John’s Reformed Church, Ladies Aid Society, Quilting Bee and Liberty Center Fireman’s Auxiliary.
She is survived by a daughter, Sue (Lonnie) Dishop of Liberty Center; three sons, Robert Young and Gary (Carolyn) Young, both of Liberty Center, and Ronald (Vicki) Ernsberger of Napoleon; a sister, Luella Palmer of Athens, Ala.; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by seven brothers, Clyde, Dewey, Wilbur, Dale, Lloyd, Lewis Jr. and Homer Spiess; two sisters, Lucy Willis and Doris Bargman; and five infant brothers and sisters.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, Pastor David MacDonald of Colton United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be at Youngs Cemetery, Liberty Center.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Colton United Methodist Church, St. Paul Lutheran Church Social Ministry or a charity of the donor’s choice.
