Earl Ernsberger, 77, of Liberty Center died Tuesday at the Medical College of Ohio Hospital of Toledo.
Born March 7, 1920, in Continental, be was the son of Sam and Maggie (Blair) Ernsberger. On May 12, 1946, he married Mary Young, who survives.
He was a heavy equipment operator with Fred Creager and Sons and then worked for the Henry County Highway Department. He was a member of the Liberty Center Volunteer Fire Department and was also an Army veteran of World War II.
He is also survived by a son, Ronald of Napoleon; a daughter, Sue Dishop of Napoleon; two stepsons, Robert and Gary Young, both of Liberty Center; a sister, Mary Ernsberger of Liberty Center; a brother, Glen of Liberty Center; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Wright Funeral Home of Liberty Center, Rev. Lynn Huffman officiating. Interment will be at Youngs Cemetery of Liberty Center, where military services will be conducted by V.F.W. Post #6596 and the Gilbert-Baughman Post #492 of the American Legion, both of Liberty Center.
Visitation will be Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or Colton United Methodist Church.
