Death claimed Mrs. Homer Ellsworth early Sunday morning at the home of a daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. William Noyes, of Toledo. The Ellsworths had come to Toledo to make their home since Mr. Ellsworth’s retirement from teaching at Bradenton, Fla. about two years ago.
Mrs. Ellsworth had been ill for some time and her condition grew steadily worse and she departed this life at the age of 70 years.
She was born in Damascus Township, near McClure, O., and moved with her parents, the late Daniel and Ellen Warner, to Liberty Center when but a child.
Early in life she united with the Liberty Center Methodist Church and since then had been active in various churches throughout the area where the teaching profession had taken them. On going to Florida she united with the First Presbyterian Church of Bradenton. She was also a member of the Pacific Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star of Liberty Center.
She is survived by her husband, Homer, to whom she was married on Aug. 18, 1912; four children, Mrs. Isabel Brown, Hillsdale, Mich.; Richard II., San Fernando, Calif.; Dr. Luis D., Manhattan, Kans., and Mrs. Kathryn Noyes, Toledo. Also surviving are two brothers,. Kirby and Floyd Warner, of Liberty Center.
Funeral services were conducted from the Liberty Center Methodist Church Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 24 at 2 o’clock, with the Rev. David L. Eichar officiating. Burial was in the Young's Cemetery. R. H. Walter was in charge of arrangements.
