Lovell Ellsworth, 85, of Liberty Center died Saturday at the Fulton County Health Center.
Born in Liberty Center July 22, 1906, she was the daughter of John and Bessie (Miller) Tanier. On Aug. 28, 1926, she married Eugene Ellsworth, and he preceded her in death Nov. 20, 1974.
She had attended Bowling Green Normal School and was a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse near Swanton for several years. She and her husband then started Vitaful Eggs in 1936 at Wauseon, moving the business to Liberty Center several years later, where it was eventually sold and became McCullough Egg House. She was a member of the Liberty Center United Methodist Church, where she formerly taught Sunday School and was a past president of the WSCS; was a Grey Lady at the Henry County Hospital; and a member of the East Liberty Council of the Henry County Farm Bureau.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathleen Veigel of Liberty Center; a foster daughter, Bernadine Clark of Alvordton, Ohio; two sisters, Irene Long of Grand Rapids and Eveland Lithicum of Liberty Center; three grandchildren; three foster grand-children; seven great-grandchildren; and foster great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death was a foster son, Kenneth Zerhnel.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Liberty Center United Methodist Church, Rev. Gerald Lewis officiating. Interment will be at Youngs Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Wright Home in Liberty Center after 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
