Margaret L. Ehrgood, 80, Liberty Center, died early this morning at the Defiance Hospital.
Born in Lucas County Aug. 24, 1910, she was the daughter of Harvey and Hattie (Barnett) Wittes. On March 17, 1969, she married Keith Wittes, who preceded her in death.
She had been a cook at Bartel's Cafe and was a member of the Napoleon V.F.W. #8218 Auxiliary.
Surviving are a son, James Cooper; a daughter, Marilyn McEwen of Glendale, Ariz.; a brother, Homer Wittes of Waterville; five sisters, Norma Cox of Whitehouse, Arna Hall of Shaman, Texas, Joan Abney of Riverside, Calif., and Wilma Martin and Mary Longstreet, both of Waterville; her companion, Shirley Sager of Liberty Center; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, Rev. Paul Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be in Youngs Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. on Thursday, where a V.F.W. Auxiliary service will take place at 7 p.m.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
