Charles Justus (Jett) Ehrgood was born at Basil, Fairfield county, O., on Aug. 8, 1865, and departed this life at his home near Liberty Center on Nov. 29, 1955 after a brief illness.
On Feb. 1, 1901, he was united in marriage with Sadie Hall, and to this union were born two children, Mrs. Thelma Pollock, of Middlepoint, O., and Keith, at home.
From 1901 to 1918 they made their home in Napoleon and from 1918 to 1923 he operated a grocery store in Liberty Center. Following this he was in the hatchery business and since then maintained his residence in Liberty Center.
He was made a Master Mason on Feb. 17, 1890, and a Royal Arch Mason on Nov. 19, 1891. He received his 50-year pin in Masonry in 1941. He was a Past Master of the Napoleon lodge and was a High Priest of the Royal Arch lodge. While in Napoleon he was connected with the Presbyterian church.
Services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. David L. Eichar officiating. Burial will, be in Young's cemetery.
