Herbert Durham, 68, Liberty Center, was pronounced dead on arrival at Heller Memorial Hospital, Napoleon, Saturday morning. He retired from farming and Foster Canning Company, Napoleon. He was born March 5, 1907 in Florida, the son of Carey and Martha (Geist) Durham.
Surviving are his wife, Josephine; three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Sally) Rising, Delta, Mrs. Harold (Marilyn) Wittes, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Mrs. David (Patti) Brinner, Maumee; and four brothers, Fred, Ney, Willis, Julian and Henry, all of Napoleon.
Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Walker Mortuary with Reverend Joseph Burnett, pastor of United Methodist Church, Liberty Center, officiating. Interment will be in Youngs Cemetery, Liberty Center. Friends may call at the mortuary from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today (Monday).
The family suggest that memorials may be made to the Liberty Center rescue unit.
