Alice Bernice Russell Sept. 13, 1916 - Nov. 3, 2002
Alice Bernice Russell, 86, of Delta died Sunday morning at Northcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Napoleon.
Born Sept. 13, 1916, in Delta, she was the daughter of James and Maude (Taylor) Young. On Sept. 2, 1942, she married Raymond Dickerson, who preceded her in death on June 2, 1956. She then married Kenneth Russell on June 6, 1964. He preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 1978.
She was an employee at Wauseon Wire Factory, retiring in 1970. She was a member of the V.F.W. Wives Club and a former member of Liberty Chapel Evangelical United Brethren Church and Union Rebekah Lodge #273, all of Liberty Center.
She is survived by a daughter, Judy Helmke of Defiance; a step daughter, Carol Carter of Manassas, Va.; a step son, Stephen Russell of Clovis, N.M.; three sisters, Ruby Balser of Delta, Thelma Beavers of Liberty Center and Nancy Mattin of Wauseon; a brother, Bill Young of Delta; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Royce and Marion Young.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wright Funeral Home, Liberty Center, Pastor Jim Condrey officiating. Interment will follow at Youngs Cemetery, Liberty Center.
Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials be made to Delta Volunteer Fire Department or the American Cancer Society.
